Privacy Policyプライバシーポリシー
Short version: we collect the minimum data needed to deliver your purchase and contact you when you ask us to. We don't sell anything to anyone.
What we collect
- Email address. When you subscribe to the newsletter or buy a product.
- Name. When you provide one at checkout (Stripe collects this; we receive it for the buyer-stamp on your PDF).
- Order details. Which product you bought, when, and the Stripe checkout ID.
- Server logs. Cloudflare records IP address, browser, and request path for each page view, retained briefly for security and abuse prevention.
We do not collect anything you write in your diary. The PDFs you download are static files; they do not phone home, sync, or transmit anything.
What we use it for
- Delivering the PDF you bought.
- Stamping your name and license key onto the PDF for attribution.
- Sending the confirmation email and, if you opt in, the newsletter.
- Emailing you when a file you own is updated (lifetime updates).
- Resolving support requests when you write to us.
Who we share it with
We use the following processors. Each only sees the data they need to do their job:
- Stripe — payment processing. Sees your name, email, billing address, and card details. We never see card numbers.
- Resend — transactional email and newsletter. Sees your email address and the content of emails we send you.
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, server runtime. Sees server-log data (IP, request path).
We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party not listed above. We do not sell data.
Cookies and analytics
We do not set marketing or tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar trackers. Your visit is not profiled across the web.
Cloudflare may set a strictly-necessary cookie for security purposes (bot mitigation). You cannot disable this without breaking the site.
How long we keep it
- Subscriber email: until you unsubscribe.
- Purchase records: kept indefinitely so you can re-download a file you've bought.
- Server logs: ≤30 days, then automatically discarded by Cloudflare.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to delete it, or correct mistakes. Email hello@minimalistdiary.com from the address in question. We respond within 14 days.
Deleting your subscriber record means you stop receiving emails. Deleting your purchase record means you can no longer re-download files you bought; we recommend keeping a local backup before requesting deletion.
Every newsletter we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. The link works without logging in.
Where data lives
The site runs on Cloudflare's edge network (worldwide). Subscriber and purchase data is stored in Cloudflare D1 (SQL database) and Cloudflare R2 (object storage). Email is processed by Resend (US-based).
Security
Data in transit uses HTTPS. Stored secrets (API keys) are encrypted at rest by Cloudflare. We do not store payment card numbers anywhere — Stripe handles that and is PCI-DSS compliant.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy in a way that affects you, we'll send a one-time notice email to subscribers. Minor edits (typos, clarifications) just update the "last updated" date.
